The Engineering Center Steyr (ECS) emerged from the former research and development department of Steyr Daimler Puch AG and offers comprehensive services for commercial vehicle development worldwide.

One of the core features of the ECS was fatigue testing and measurement service. Then as now, the basis for high-quality fatigue strength statements is a precise analysis of the component loads.

Since the 1990s, FEMFAT LAB and FEMFAT are used intensively and successfully both in-house and externally to evaluate fatigue strength and are constantly being adapted and further developed to meet new requirements.
